LoginEveryone who works for BCIS is valued and acknowledged. We work for a common goal to provide an outstanding service to our customers
This role is crucial in maintaining and developing the BCIS product suite. The construction industry is changing, and our service is evolving to remain relevant and continue to serve the industry.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about construction and data as the role involves analysing construction cost data, creating data models, and interpreting statistical information. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for communicating findings and insights to stakeholders.
Back in 1981, when Canary Wharf was still skyscraper-free, we reached for the stars in our own way when we launched BCIS Online, using dial-up modems for the first time.
Since then, the technology we use has changed dramatically. Our very first computer – The North Star Horizon – may now be as obsolete as the 150Kb floppy disc drive that once accompanied it. But our purpose – to give our clients business insights with the support of trusted, independent data – remains at the forefront of all we do.
We help our clients improve business performance in the built environment by providing trusted, independent data and insights.
But we’re not here to shy away from the stark reality facing our clients and our industry. Nearly 40% of global greenhouse emissions come from the built environment. And we need to do something about it, before this figure doubles.
That’s why we also want to ensure our clients have the information they need to reduce carbon emissions throughout the lifecycle of their building or project.
From insurance calculators to inflation adjustment and pricing tools, our products help to make informed and cost-effective decisions easier. They’re made possible through our team of committed experts, who have over 260 years’ experience working with construction and built environment data.
And now, with investment from Lloyds Development Capital (LDC), we’re able to develop many exciting new products that will better serve our clients and the environment.
We believe people perform better when they’re valued as individuals. This is why we’ve established a flexible working culture that takes our employee wellbeing and their priorities outside of work into consideration.
Some of our employees have the option to work remotely, so whether you live in Dundee or Dittisham there’s no pressure to commute. However, we appreciate that people enjoy a mix of working environments, which is why we have Coventry and Harrogate offices available for use. And we make sure the entire team meet up in person, at least twice a year, to socialise and stay connected.
Our prioritisation of our people and their wellbeing is also reflected in our benefits pack. Private medical insurance, a generous annual leave allowance, enhanced pension contributions and life insurance are just the beginning of what we offer. An equal opportunities employer, we’re committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
We’re always looking for people who can help us achieve our core mission.
And if you join us, you’ll be in good company. Our knowledge and expertise ensure we’re the best at what we do.
