Maintenance indices change of name

BCIS maintenance, cleaning and energy indices have been re-branded, we have dropped ‘BMI’ from the title.

BMI was the name of the BCIS facilities product which was replaced by Building Running Costs Online 13 years ago, we have been referring to them as BCIS indices for many years but they are still titled ‘BMI’ in the database. This has led to some confusion, thus the change. The indices affected are listed below.

Within the online services they will be headed ‘BCIS Maintenance Cost Indices (Formerly BMI)’ for the time being.

We are not making any changes to the indices themselves.

Where the indices are used in contracts the series can continue to be applied.
